Do you ever get called over to other countries where there is a fire raging and they don't have enough firefighters?

Asked by EL about 3 years ago

Not me personally

It seems wise to turn off the fireplace pilot light before leaving for vacation, but I've heard mixed advice. As a pro, what are your thoughts?

Asked by Taylor almost 3 years ago

Depends on how long you will be gone

Interested in recruiting process. Gathered there's orientation, cpat & written test. If pass those, then an interview. Is this correct & please fill me in. When is the medical test? What if have asthma(inhaler daily)? Shoulder tear from dislocations?

Asked by Winston over 2 years ago

If you can function without your asthma acting up and is your shoulder injury repaired it is possible You can also look at a career with EMS,

I wanna become a firefighter in the future but I have an amputated foot( I can still function like everyone else can) I just want to know does having an amputated foot disqualify me from becoming a ff cause I count join the military because of it

Asked by Jd over 2 years ago

There is currently a double amputee firefighter I believe up North. So yes if you can do the job dont let it atop you.

Shoulder not yet surgically repaired. Can I take the CPAT first, then surgery, then academy to become firefighter? Idk the best order. Or do i need to have surgery b4 begin process of becoming firefighter. When in order of process is the medical exam

Asked by Winston over 2 years ago

I would have the repair done before you start. Because they will not let you do the cpat with a known injury.

Question. What do you think of vaccine mandates for firefighters?

Asked by Good morning almost 3 years ago

It should be the individual choice. Plain and simple.

I have just taken the written exam and was wondering how long before I find out my score and if I don't hear back does that mean I failed

Asked by Datron Battles over 2 years ago

Depends on agency and they company they have doing it.
