Is it late to start to learn magic tricks at 20?

There a a illusion I would love to learn to do but can not find any information on it. I've only ever seen it preform by Asian magicians. The effect uses cloth masks many of them and the change from mask to mask is instant. Hope you can help me.

How does a magician change a 20 dollar bill to a 1 dollar after sliding their fingers on top of the 20s, I do not mean the magic trick where they fold the bill no, its different, he slides his fingers and it chamges price, thank you for your info.

I read of an effect in an old book about slate writing. If you dissolve zinc in hydrochloric acid and write on a slate, it will appear blank when wet, but writing will appear as it dries. I have tried it, but can't get it to work. Any ideas?

I collect magic tricks. Recently purchased a Jack Hughes....Joey The Clown trick. It’s awesome but right foot was slightly damaged in shipping. Problem is the initials JH were rubbed off. Does this affect value?
